Class Materials for .... April 16?
Okay, here are your monologues, not as quickly as I wanted, but better late than never.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, so the monologue will definitely be part of the final exam (whenever that might happen....)
Take it easy over the weekend and check back here April 22, as I ponder the next step....

Class Materials for April 08, 2020
For this week, download and read this.
Then... for each of the three stories, write three questions that could be used to initiate and/or prolong a conversation about the story.
Avoid yes-no questions and avoid 'you' questions like "What do you think about it?" Instead, the questions should be about the subjects of the stories.
Generally there should be a wh-word (who, what, when, how, why, how many, where). Feel free to explore contradictions in the story (f ex, "If moon exploration is too expensive then why are corporations building mining ships?")
For one of them (the arts and entertainment story) you might need to look up some information on the TV show "Tiger King".
If you want to work in groups then....
Two people working together: 4 questions for each story
Three people working together: 5 questions for each story
The deadline is next Wednesday April 15 by 20.00.
