Essay prompt for June 22, 2021 Group 2 (9:45-11:15)

Here is the prompt for group 2 (9:45-11.15).

Enjoy!

Essay exam tomorrow (June 21, 2021)

 A quick heads up.

The exam will be carried out in the teams that you've been having class with me in.

I will start the session a few minutes early and give a quick instruction or two at the time the class is to begin.

The prompts will be available on the teams site (on that page) and on the blog. I will remove them from the blog before the class is over and each group will have different prompts.

One of the prompts is a scenario and the other is a list.

You will write by hand : (  with your camera on. I will have my camera off most of the time but will be at the computer. If you have a question speak up and/or send a note and I will address it.

When you're done, take a picture of your essay and send it to teams. I will acknowledge when I've received it and then you can leave...

Good luck!

Okay I set up a doodle for people to vote.

The link is here. You should be able to vote for more than one option.

If you have a suggestion not on the list you should be able to leave that at the doodle anonymously (or leave an anonymous message to this post).

No particular deadline but the sooner there is feedback, the better.

After Class Links

Here are the paragraphs we went over in class with some notes.

Here is the assignment for next week.

Read it. Then write 3 (three) questions for each story and post them (link below).

Remember these should be questions that could be used to start a conversation about the topic and/or keep it going.

Generally, these should be WH questions and not yes/no questions...
yes/no question – answer is ‘yes’ or ‘no’
WH question – answer requires more information (what, who, when, how, why, how many/much) about the contents of the story.... not “what do you think about....?”

At least two of the three questions for each story should be wh-questions

Students may work alone or in groups of two (2) or three (3).

The dealine is Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 20.00

Finally if you want to revise your review (given what we covered in class about writing in third person only or about reviewing a specific work and not a genre) then feel free and also to then post it at the same link as the questions.

Always be sure to include your name and group number.

Link below the jump (Click where it says 'Czytaj więcej').

Link for question assignment

Write three (3) questions for each story that we covered in class today (see link here) that could be used to start a conversation about the topic and/or keep it going.

Here's the full link to the story about the Chinese government promoting lockdowns on social media.

The deadline is Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 20.00.
